L’Espace Francophone pour la Recherche, le Développement et l'Innovation , or the Francophone Area for Research, Development and Innovation is an international consortium research of strengthening collaboration between North-South researchers and experts. This organization was created in 2008. Its hand is cooperation, research and sustainable development, social progress "). This innovative initiative integrates the social and cultural dimensions of scientific collaboration. Both researchers in the southern and in the northern countries have the opportunity to work collectively through this consortium. It has also the advantage of allowing scientists that are geographically, socially and culturally distant from each other to work together on projects and programs. [2]

Started as a small association, EFRARD has since evolved into a globalization of knowledge that is constructed by the cultural diversity and discipline.
